Pain & Company is seeking resilient, responsive candidates for the position of Intern – Sensory Research.

This track explores sensation, rhythmic impact, and layered physical stimulation under firm supervision.

The Sensory Research Intern functions as:

  • A receptive body to be used as a test subject for sensory research
  • A study in reaction control
  • A participant in escalating intensity
  • A candidate for endurance conditioning

  • Maintain posture during repeated impact
  • Demonstrate controlled breathing under stimulation
  • Respond authentically without withdrawing
  • Build endurance progressively

Successful Sensory Research Interns demonstrate:

  • High tolerance for sensation
  • Pride in visible marks of participation
  • Consistency in recovery discipline

  • Age 20+
  • Strong physical resilience
  • Interest in impact and layered sensation
  • Ability to communicate limits clearly
  • Financial readiness for ongoing participation
  • Clear understanding that this is consensual adult power exchange
  • High stamina
  • Curiosity about threshold expansion
  • Pride in endurance
  • Comfort with visible reaction
  • Desire for intensity

Monthly Contribution: $100/month — gifted toward Leadership's lifestyle desires (i.e. pilates, silversmithing expenses, etc.). Submitted on the 1st of each month. It is an ongoing expression of participation in her world.

Interns begin under the standard 3-6 Month Evaluation Period (period dependent upon negotiation).

Session Intern Rate: 

90 min - $650 ($150 savings)

2 hrs - $800 ($200 savings)

3 hrs -$1,100 ($300 savings)

4 hrs - $1,400 ($400 savings)

Booking Structure:

-Sessions are booked in pairs, spaced no more than 45 days apart. Deposits for both sessions are submitted in advance before the first session is confirmed.

Evaluation Period: 

3–6 months, negotiated at placement. A minimum of 4 completed sessions is required before promotion eligibility is considered.

During this period, Leadership is assessing:

  • Reliability
  • Financial discipline and responsiveness
  • Chemistry
  • Capacity for growth

At the conclusion of the internship, Leadership will determine:

  • Continuation at Intern level
  • Invitation to apply for Associate placement
  • Or termination of employment and potential transition into Client track

Promotion is contingent on endurance and recovery discipline.

Sensory Research Interns may advance to:

  • Associate – Sensory Research (structured impact progression plan)
  • Engagement Manager – Sensory Research (seeing God)
  • Impact Asset (invite-only tier)
