Pain & Company is seeking a loyal, trainable, and eager candidate for the position of Intern – Dog.

This specialized internship track is designed for individuals who crave structure, praise, correction, and behavioral conditioning within a controlled container.

As an Intern – Dog, you will enter a fixed evaluation period under direct supervision of Leadership.

Internship sessions are structured, individually compensated engagements designed to assess obedience, instinct, responsiveness, and long-term suitability for continued training.

The Dog Intern functions as:

  • A behavioral study in conditioning and reward
  • A responsive body awaiting direction
  • A creature who thrives under clear hierarchy
  • Respond promptly to verbal and nonverbal cues
  • Maintain posture and presence as directed
  • Demonstrate consistency in assigned at-home training protocols
  • Accept correction without resistance
  • Seek approval through performance
  • Prioritize obedience over ego

Successful Dog Interns demonstrate:

  • Immediate responsiveness
  • Visible pride in praise
  • Stability under correction
  • Strong instinct for hierarchy
  • Joy in simplicity

Bonus indicators include:

  • Natural physical expressiveness
  • Comfort on knees or in lowered positions
  • Ability to shift quickly into role
  • 20+
  • Strong interest in puppy/dog training dynamics
  • Comfort with behavioral conditioning frameworks
  • Financial readiness for ongoing participation
  • Clear understanding that this is consensual adult power exchange
  • High stamina
  • Eagerness for structured rituals
  • Appreciation for collars, cues, and reward systems
  • Desire to belong within a defined hierarchy

Monthly Contribution: $100/month — gifted toward Leadership's lifestyle desires (i.e. pilates, silversmithing expenses, etc.). Submitted on the 1st of each month. It is an ongoing expression of participation in her world.

Interns begin under the standard 3-6 Month Evaluation Period (period dependent upon negotiation).

Session Intern Rate: 

90 min - $650 ($150 savings)

2 hrs - $800 ($200 savings)

3 hrs -$1,100 ($300 savings)

4 hrs - $1,400 ($400 savings)

Booking Structure:

-Sessions are booked in pairs, spaced no more than 45 days apart. Deposits for both sessions are submitted in advance before the first session is confirmed.

Evaluation Period: 

3–6 months, negotiated at placement. A minimum of 4 completed sessions is required before promotion eligibility is considered.

During this period, Leadership is assessing:

  • Reliability
  • Financial discipline and responsiveness
  • Chemistry
  • Capacity for growth

At the conclusion of the internship, Leadership will determine:

  • Continuation at Intern level
  • Invitation to apply for Associate placement
  • Or termination of employment and potential transition into Client track

Promotion is contingent on obedience, loyalty, and demonstrated conditioning progress.

Intern – Dogs may advance to:

  • Associate Dog (structured monthly training container)
  • Senior Associate Dog (expanded access + advanced command systems)
  • House Pet (invite-only tier)
